When you first go in, your first thought is they know their tea. A large display of assorted teas can be purchased. As you enter into the main room, a slice of England seems to put be transferred to Markham. I'm not sure how many tea pots they have on display around the room (and they aren't sure either), but I think it gives the "Front Parlor" feel, my wife thinks it's a little too much.
The tea menu is a wonderful list, and describes each tea very well. Select your tea, and then you are presented with the jar so you can smell the aromas of the tea to make sure you have selected well, a very nice touch, a little history of each tea was given, another nice touch.
The menu was amazing, from Sheppard's Pie to Cucumber Sandwiches, allot to choose from. I had the sliced egg and watercress and my wife had a turkey sandwich both were quite good, a few girls a table over were into the afternoon tea, now that looked good, we were a little rushed so we decided on simpler fare.
If you enjoy good old fashioned English food, this is a great place, close to Toronto.
